The Biggin Hill Concert Band
Join Us
The Biggin Hill Concert Band is a friendly and easy-going group of musicians, informal in attitude, but serious about putting on great performances.
Why join us?
You might be a new musician who is looking for a place to develop your skills. Or, you played an instrument when you were in school and have a yearning to pick up where you left off. BHCB is a safe place to learn, or re-learn, your craft. We also understand that our members have working- and family-lives. We just need your commitment to grow and improve.
Who can join us?
Although our repertoire is usually grade five and above, we can find a part for all abilities. What we're really looking for are courageous people who want to give their best.
Our members
Our members come from a variety of social backgrounds. Our experience ranges from self-taught to the highest music qualifications. Our ages range from secondary students to well-into retirement. Some of us are also members of other local bands as well.
Our repertoire
Our repertoire features a mix of popular music, brass band favourites and showtunes. Our most recent programme featured Eric Coates' 'The Dambusters March', a music from 'Mary Poppins' and 'The Lion King' and a new concert band piece called 'Valum Hadrani'. We also love a bit of Black Sabbath.
How much is it?
We only ask for £25 per 'term'. We have three terms per year; starting in September, January, and April
